ABOUT

ABOUT

Latinas are one of the fastest growing, most powerful groups in the United States. Latinas excel in every sector and industry in our country. Despite all of this, on this day, we will highlight the fact that the in 2023, Latinas continued to face the pay gap that is, on average, an abysmal 51 cents to every dollar paid to white, non-Hispanic men. This number includes all Latinas with reported earnings, like part-time, seasonal, and migrant workers. For full-time, year-round workers, the wage gap is 58 cents for every dollar paid to white, non-Hispanic men. The wage disparity is a clear reflection of the economic hurdles Latinas continue to encounter.

Join us in urging federal lawmakers to co-sponsor and swiftly pass The Bringing an End to Harassment by Enhancing Accountability and Rejecting Discrimination (BE HEARD) in the Workplace Act, which is comprehensive legislation to address workplace harassment, including the extension of federal protections against harassment and other forms of discrimination .

Latinas are one of the lowest paid groups of any major race/ethnicity and gender group and are only paid 51 cents for each dollar a White Non-Latino man is paid. Join us in urging federal lawmakers to swiftly pass the Paycheck Fairness Act. This legislation modernizes and strengthens the Equal Pay Act of 1963, combating pay discrimination and closing the wage gap.
